The C.T. Young Memorial Scholarships for the academic year of 2012-2013 have been awarded. These $1000.00 scholarships for each of the four students selected are funded by Young Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Beaver Dam.

Customarily, only one scholarship is given to members of one family, but this year, Leslie Ford and Christopher Ford have both received a scholarship. Jennifer Almand and Kenya Givens are the other two recipients.

Kenya Givens has strong family ties to Young Manufacturing Co. Her grandfather, Glenn Southard, retired from Young. Her father, Kelly Givens, has worked for you for 28 years. She is the daughter of Kelly and Karen Givens of Morgantown. She is continuing her pursuit of a degree in Nursing from Western Kentucky University.

Jennifer Alsman is married to Larry Alsman and the mother of two children. She and her husband live in Beaver Dam. She is continuing her academic studies in Social Work after completing her Associate Degree. She is enrolled at Western Kentucky University to complete course work toward her B.S. in that field of employment.

Leslie and Christopher Ford are the Children of James and Pam Ford of Centertown and Helen Ford of Hartford. Leslie has had the opportunity to study abroad in Greece and England through Western Kentucky University. Her major is in Health Science with a concentration in Health Services.

Christopher is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and is entering their graduate program in Applied Economics this fall.

Young Manufacturing's emphasis on the families within this Family owned business shows their commitment to hard work. Parents committed to competent service in their place of work and students at their institutions of study continue the American way of life.

CONGRATULATIONS to these four students!
